Shea-Schreiber
Joy Marie Schreiber, formerly of Cottonwood, Calif., and Michael Anthony Shea, a former Republic resident, were united in marriage on Oct. 15 at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in McClellandtown. The Rev. Justin Argabright officiated the nuptial ceremony. The bride is the daughter of the late Dave and Suzanne (Micki) Schreiber. The bridegroom is the son of Mamie McGinnis of Royal, and James Shea and his wife, Bonnie, of Republic.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Troy Schreiber. She wore a strapless A-line gown with a beaded lace overlay and sash at the waist. A pearl and crystal tiara held a two-tiered fingertip veil of illusion.
Becky Herbert of Berkeley Heights, N.J., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Heather Donner of Anchorage, Alaska; Brenda Holmes of Point Marion; Dawn Ketchum of Billings, Mont. Taylor Smith of Hopwood was the flower girl.
Best man was Rick Sferro of Rockwood. Groomsmen were John Smith of Hopwood, Ray Thomas of Point Marion, Rob Winston of Basking Ridge, N.J. Timmy Smith of Hopwood was ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Republic Volunteer Fire Department Hall.
The bride graduated from West Valley High School in Cottonwood, Calif., in 1995. She earned a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon in 2000 and a doctorate degree in pharmacy from the University of Colorado in 2005.
She is a pharmacist at West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, W.Va.
The bridegroom is a 1991 graduate of Brownsville Area High School.
He is a union carpenter employed by Shoff Construction as a supervisor.
The couple is residing in Smithfield following a wedding trip to Aruba.
