Mary Ann McCay Smith
Mary Ann McCay Smith, age 71, of Girard, Ohio, died Saturday, May 13, 2006, in the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She was born June 14, 1935, in Stockdale, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joseph W. McCay and Frances Gluch McCay.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of Saint Rose Roman Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Society and the Saint Rose Quilters.
She was also a Camp Fire Alumnae Member.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her father and her brothers, William McCay, Donald McCay and Ronald McCay.
Besides her mother of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, she is survived by her husband, Charles J. Smith Sr., whom she married September 12, 1953; her children: Charles J. Smith Jr. of Seville, Ohio, Keith Smith, Michael Smith and Barbara Smith all of Girard, Ohio; sisters: Eileen McCay, Kathy McCay Rocca and Rita McCay Petronas all of Uniontown, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the BLACKSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 672 Churchill Road, Girard, OH 44420 (330-539-5955) and Wednesday, May 17, until 10:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11 a.m. in Saint Rose Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Corda as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Churchill Cemetery, Liberty Township, Ohio.
