Bernadine Benko Molek, 77, died suddenly at home in Ringgold, Georgia, on Wednesday, May 10, 2006. She was born on April 18, 1929, in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of Paul Hanlon and Mary Benko Ratai.

She was a 1947 graduate of North Union High School and the beautiful and talented Miss Uniontown ‘1949’.

She married Edward Molek in 1950, and celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2000, prior to his death.

She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, Edward E. Molek, her children, Edward Molek Jr., Gary Molek, Gayle Molek and Gerry Molek, and her brothers, Paul (Sonny) Benko and Joseph Ratai.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Benko Ratai; her children, Gordon Molek and his wife Janice of Chicago, Illinois, Gloria Molek of Pittsburgh, Pa., Georgia Paul and her husband Michael of California, Gregg Molek and his wife Beth of Olney, Maryland and Ginette Jones and her husband Nigel of Chattanooga, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Jessica, Cathasaigh, Matthew, Jeff, Katie and Dylan; brothers and sisters, John Ratai, Beatrice Lepre, Mary (Chichi) Talone, and Nancy Wade.

Friends will be received in DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., today after 7 p.m. and in SAINT PETER’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown, Pa., on Wednesday, May 17, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., the hour of service with the Rev. Bernard Carl officiating.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.

Bernadine was a loving and caring Christian woman whose children, grandchildren and faith were her greatest joys. Family request donations in her memory be sent to the Triple A Woman’s Association (423-892-0803) or one’s local Church.
