Windshield cracked State police said someone struck a vehicle owned by Richard Frisco, 59, of Republic with a blunt object between 1 a.m. Sunday and 9:45 a.m. Sunday, causing the vehicle’s windshield to crack.

Police said the vehicle was parked on High Street and estimated the damage at $100.

Man arrested

Michael Geisler of Connellsville was arrested after he pumped $50.05 worth of diesel fuel into this truck and attempted to flee Speedy Meedy’s gas station on Route 119 without paying at 8 p.m. Sunday, state police said. Police said Geisler was apprehended when his vehicle stopped running about 200 yards from the gas station.

Woman hit

Charges were filed against Mark McCoy of Uniontown after he allegedly hit Linda Wilson of Brownsville in the back of the head following an incident in the Hunters Ridge apartment complex parking lot at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, state police said.

Two injured

Richelle Sawyers of Brownsville and Debra Shuff of Republic sustained minor to moderate injuries when their vehicles crashed on New Salem Road near First Street at 1 p.m. Saturday, according to state police.

Items stolen

State police said someone broke into a Lawson Excavating Inc. construction trailer while it was parked on property owned by Canestrale Construction in Labelle between 9 a.m. Saturday and 9:30 p.m. Sunday and stole several items, including several different wrenches.

Man accused

A 29-year-old Coal Center man is accused of damaging a vehicle owned by Laura Zosky of Coal Center, state police said. Police said the man allegedly jumped on Zosky’s vehicle at 4 p.m. Monday, denting and scratching the trunk and roof.

North Union Twp.

Gasoline stolen

State police said a man driving a maroon Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme pumped $41.33 worth of gasoline into his vehicle and fled the Exxon gas station on Pittsburgh Street without paying at 4:41 p.m. May 9.

German Twp.

Police chase vehicle

State police said Eric M. Springer, 28, of McClellandtown was arrested after he led officers on a two-hour vehicle chase May 8.

Police said Springer allegedly stole the vehicle he was driving from Tiffany S. Mateosky of Smithfield, who had parked the pink 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier outside her Walnut Hill Road residence.

Officers later spotted Springer driving the stolen vehicle on Route 166 near Edenborn. Police also reported that the man refused to stop, leading officers on a chase on various roads in Lambert and German Township, according to police.

Springer lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree along Lambert Hollow Road, at which time he was taken into custody, police said.

Police reported that Springer was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving under the influence of alochol, fleeing or attempting to elude police, driving on a suspended license, reckless driving, careless driving and various other traffic offenses before Magisterial District Judge Randy Abraham.

Man charged

Brian D. Taylor, 20, of Clarksville was charged with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and purchase, possession, consumption or transportation of liquor after an incident on Green Street in California at 12:13 a.m. Friday, according to California police.

Man arrested

Clarence Oliver, 72, of Uniontown was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at the intersection of routes 51 and 119 at 12:58 a.m. April 21, state police said.

Man charged

Alex Goya, 40, of Allenport was charged with receiving stolen property, driving without insurance and unauthorized transfer of registration after he was stopped while driving with a stolen license plate at 5:50 p.m. Monday, California police said.
