Carl W. Kern, 99, of Allison Park, Pa., died Wednesday, May 17, 2006, at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Boyd Kern; son, Ronald Carl Kern of Houston, Texas; daughter, Mrs. Rufus (Barbara Kern) Dixon of Norfolk, Va.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and sister, Mrs. Paul (Ruth) Atkinson of Hopwood, Pa.

Friends will be received at Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, Pa., today, May 20, 2006, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
