Edna M. Bevans
Edna M. Bevans, 86, of Vestaburg, Pa., (Mexico), died Thursday, May 18, 2006, in her home. She was born September 19, 1919, in Vanderbilt, Pa., a daughter of the late Andrew and Priscilla Louis Brocco.
Mrs. Bevans worked as a cook at Bower Hotel and later Bartoletti’s Hotel.
She was a member of the Greene Valley Church of God in Crucible, Pa.
On April 18, 1936, she married Thomas D. Bevans who died March 2, 1999.
Surviving are two sons: Dennis L. Bevans and his wife, Darliene of Vestaburg, Pa and Thomas II “Buck” Bevans and his wife, Elda of Buckhannon, W.Va.; one sister, Betty Jane Cole of Carmichaels, Pa.; one brother, Albert Brocco of Vanderbilt, Pa.; and also several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, is a son, Ernest D. “Butch” Bevans who died in 2000 and a daughter, Georgiann Bevans Angelo who died in 1960, five brothers, Tony, Henry, Martin, Phillip and John Brocco; four sisters, Margaret Cavalcante, Louise Cavalcante, Gertrude Ramsier and Viola Ducan.
Friends will be received in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 42 Bank Street, at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, Pa., on Sunday from 3 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Monday, May 22, 2006, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Frank Menhart officiating.
Interment will be held in Greene County Memorial Park, Wayensburg, Pa.
