North Union Twp. Theft reported
The manager at Dollar General Store on Pittsburgh Street in North Union Township reported that a Georges Township woman entered the store Thursday and removed various items without paying for them.

Merchandise taken
An employee of J.C. Penney, 1000 Mall Run Road, Uniontown, told police that a Georges Township man entered the store Thursday and removed four pair of pants and a T-shirt and left the store without paying for the merchandise.
Lower Tyrone Twp.
Car strikes guide rail
Glenn McCloskey, 40, of Loretto was not injured early Friday morning when he failed to negotiate a right curve on Route 819, just north of Route 1002 in Lower Tyrone Township.
According to police, McCloskey’s vehicle traveled into the northbound lane of the highway, continued onto the west berm and struck a guide rail and utility pole before traveling down an embankment and overturning.

Object thrown
State police at Belle Vernon said an object was dropped from the overpass on Interstate 70 at the Crawford Lane overpass Thursday at 1:15 p.m. According to police, the object damaged a windshield of a 1998 Ford van as it traveled eastbound.

Linda Havrilesko of Coal Center told police that someone damaged a metal awning on her house Thursday.

Vehicles collide
Police said Mathew Mirandy, (no age given) of Uniontown was exiting Columbia Gas on Laurel Drive Tuesday when his 1992 Honda collided with a vehicle driven by Melissa Payne, (no age given) of Waynesburg. No injuries were reported.
