Edna Brocco Bevans
Edna M. Brocco Bevans, age 86, of Mexico, Vestaburg, Pa., died Thursday, May 18, 2006, in her home. She was born September 19, 1919, in Vanderbilt, Pa., the daughter of Andrew Brocco and Priscilla Louis Brocco.
Mrs. Bevans worked as a cook at the Bower Hotel and later at Bartoletti’s Hotel.
She was a member of the Greene Valley Church of God in Crucible, Pa.
On April 18, 1936, she married Thomas D. Bevans. He died March 2, 1999.
Also deceased are her parents, a son, Ernest D. “Butch” Bevans who died in 2000, a daughter, Georgiann Bevans Angelo who died in 1960, five brothers, Tony Brocco, Henry Brocco, Martin Brocco, Phillip Brocco and John Brocco, and four sisters, Margaret Cavalcante, Louise Cavalcante, Gertrude Ramsier and Viola Ducan.
Surviving are two sons: Dennis L. Bevans and his wife, Darliene, of Vestaburg, Pa., and Thomas H. “Buck” Bevans and his wife, Elda, of Buckhannon, West Virginia; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Jane Cole of Carmichaels, Pa.; one brother, Albert Brocco of Vanderbilt, Pa.; also several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, Pa., today from 3 to 9 p.m. where Services will be held on Monday, May 22, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Frank Menhart officiating.
Interment will be follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa.
