James Edward Mills
James Edward Mills, age 76, of Connellsville, Pa., passed away on Thursday morning, May 18, 2006, in Uniontown Hospital. He was born March 8, 1930, in Connellsville, Pa., the son of George D. Mills and Sarah A. (Cooper) Mills.
James was a veteran of the Korean War.
He retired from Westinghouse after 25 years and was a Life Member of the American Legion Post 762 in Trotter, Pa., the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3514 in Uniontown, Pa., and the Trotter Lions Club.
James was preceded by his parents, his wife, Elise Wheeler Mills in 1994, sisters, Ruth, Shirley and Roselyn, and a brother, George.
Surviving are his brother, Charles and his wife Susan; sisters: Eilean Greene of Germantown, Maryland, Gertrude Jackson of Uniontown, Pa., Ivy Sterling of Pontiac, Michigan and Roberta McCargo of Connellsville, Pa.; a dear and loving friend, Evelyn Ridgley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the PAYNE A.M.E. CHURCH, 812 West Crawford Avenue, Connellsville, Pa., today (Sunday, May 21) from 5 to 9 p.m. where Services will be held on Monday, May 22, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James L. Burton officiating.
Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville, Pa.
