Bernard M. Ezar
Bernard M. Ezar, 69, of 44862 Geddes Road, Canton, Michigan, and formerly of Gates, Pa., died Saturday, May 20, 2006, in Saint Mary Hospital, Livonia, Michigan. He was born in Gates, Pa., a son of Stephen J. Ezar and Rosemary (Butcher) Ezar.
Bernard worked as a Millwright for General Motors in Detroit Michigan and served as a Private in the United States Army.
He was a member of the AAA.
His mother died on December 15, 1999 and his father died in 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene Ezar; stepson, George Mills, stepdaughters, Sherita Zielke, Sheryl Toupin, Sandra Glenn and Stacy Gryzlewski; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Ezar of Westland, Michigan; and sisters: Rosemary Ezar Cooper of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Dolly Ann Ezar Kelly of Leckrone, Pa.
Family will receive friends in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church at 7 River Avenue, Masontown, Pa. on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, May 26, until 10:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 26, at 11 a.m. in the Saint Mary (Our Lady of Perpetual Help) Roman Catholic Church. Leckrone, Pa., with the Rev. Father Donald P. Trexler as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint Mary (Our Lady of Perpetual Help) Cemetery, Leckrone, Pa. Military Rites will be accorded at the cemetery by the Masontown VFW and the American Legion.
