Anna B. (Medved) Lisko, 97, of Newbury, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 22, 2006, in Holly Hill, Newbury, Ohio. She was born in Gates Pa., on August 20, 1908, the daughter of the late John and Susan (Galovich) Medved.

She was a nurse’s aid at the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. and was a member of the former Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Gates, Pa. and attended the German Township High School and was a member of Saint Albert’s Roman Catholic Church, Adah, Pa.

Surviving are a son, Lt. Col. James and wife, Betty Jane Zelenak Lisko of Homestead, Fla.; daughter, Glorianne Chepes of Nolvity, Ohio; grandson, Dr. James Lisko and wife, Gnann-Gallup of N.M., grandson, Lt. Commander Brian M. Lisko and wife Lois-Quantico of Va., granddaughter, Susan Lashley and husband, Geo-Novelty of Ohio, grandson, Charles Chepes and wife, Julie-Newbury of Ohio, grandson, Eric J. Chepes-Parkman of Ohio; granddaughter, Marguerite Moore and husband Dale of Slipperyrock, Pa.; great-grandchildren, Annemarie Elizabeth Lisko, Susannah Rose Lisko, Caroline Grace Lisko, Naomi Joy Lisko, Glorianne Jeannette Lashley, Elizabeth Victoria Lashley, Teraliane, Jeremy Charles Chepes, Cassie Marie Chepes, Christian John Lisko Patrick James Lisko, Eric Joseph Chepes, Alexa Margaret Campbell, Eric Bernard Campbell; brother, Albert Jenko and wife, Dolores of Warren Mich.; sister, Irene Nacarato of Naples, Fla.

Anna was predeceased by her parents and husband, John Lisko in 1960; a son, Bernard Lisko in 1971; sisters, Mary, Helen and Sophie; brothers, John, Joe, James, William and Edward.

A prayer service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Saint Albert’s Roman Catholic Church, Adah, Pa., with Father Donald Trexler officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., in the JOHN MAYKUTH JR., FUNERAL HOME, Masontown, Pa.

Interment will be held at Saint Mary’s cemetery. Saint Mary’s Rosary Society of Gates and Leckrone will say the Rosary today at 3 p.m.
