Douglas Slater Hafer, 41, died Tuesday May 23, 2006, at his home in Frostburg, Md. The family will receive friends in the Hafer Funeral Home, Chapel of the Hills, 1302 National Highways, Lavale, Md., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Christ Lutheran Church, 1222 Vocke Road, Lavale, Md., on Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Charles A. Erzkus, pastor, and Rev. Elizabeth A. Welsch, officiating.

Friends and neighbors attending the funeral service are requested to go directly to the Christ Lutheran Church.

Interment will follow in the Frostburg Memorial Park Cemetery.
