Local mission team to travel to Kenya
A mission team of 10 individuals from Third Presbyterian Church, 425 Union St., Uniontown, will be going to Tenwek Hospital and Mosop School in Kenya, Africa, June 28-July 16 through World Gospel Mission, an interdenominational missionary agency. The team is seeking donations of girls’ jumpers sizes 8-12, patterns for jumpers of the same size and material to make jumpers for children living in an orphanage near the school. There are 90 children living in the orphanage and the largest number of them wear girl sizes 8-12.
The mission team is also seeking donations of the following items to take to Kenya: blueberry muffin box mixes, pure vanilla extract, peanut M&Ms, lemon extract, parmesan cheese, dried blueberries, dry packets of spaghetti sauce and sweetened coconut for the missionaries and their families as well as beads and other materials to make bracelets, non-paper craft projects (small), sets of jacks and Frisbees for the children.
Donations may be made to Third Presbyterian Church and marked African mission trip. Items may be left at the church office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
