Josephine “Jo” King Moredock
Josephine “Jo” King Moredock, age 95, of Rices Landing, Pa., and a former resident of Waynesburg, Pa., died Friday, May 26, 2006, in Rolling Meadows Nursing Care, Waynesburg. She was born October 15, 1910, in Ruff Creek, Washington Township, Pa., daughter of Howard King and Florence King Spragg.
In her youth, Josephine was a member of the First Baptist Church and the First Tracy Sunday School Class.
On September 30, 1960, she married Isaac Moredock.
Since 1960, she had been a member of the Hewitt Presbyterian Church in Rices Landing where she was a member of Class Seven.
Josephine retired from First Federal Savings and Loan in Waynesburg, Pa.
She was an avid bridge player in the Waynesburg area.
Josephine also enjoyed reading and traveling and she and her husband, Isaac, visited every state in the union.
Isaac died in 1984. “Jo” was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Alma King.
Friends will be received in the PAUL MICHAEL LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., Paul M. Lesako Funeral Director/Supervisor, 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, May 30, from Noon until 1 p.m. Services will begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. William Bradford Davis officiating.
Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa.
