Pearl Mankins Rose

Pearl A. Mankins Rose, age 76, of North Ridgeville, Ohio, and formerly of Alabama and also Lake Lynn, Pa., died Tuesday, May 23, 2006, following a lengthy illness in the home of her daughter in Lakewood, Colorado. She was born November 7, 1929, in Connellsville, Pa., daughter of Catherine Mankins Graham.

Pearl had been formerly employed as a nurse’s aide at Saint John’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.

She was predeceased by her mother, her husband, Herman Rose, a son, Herman “Corky” Rose II, two sisters, Betty Lewis and Nan Burnette, and two brothers, Jack Mankins and Charles “Gene” Mankins.

Surviving are five children: Cheryl Jones of Lakewood, Colorado, Bruce Rose of Strongsville, Ohio, Tanya Sutherland of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Timothy Rose and Jeffrey Rose both of Mobile, Alabama; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Thomas Mankins of Dilliner, Pa., and Jim Mankins of Lake Lynn, Pa.

Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, 501 Morgantown Street, Point Marion, Pa., today (Sunday, May 28) until 2 p.m., the hour of Service.

Private interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa., at a later date.

Visitation was also held Saturday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
