Community calendar – May 31
BROWNFIELD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Willing Workers Sunday School Class, will meet at 7 p.m. Friday in the social room. NEWELL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will hold its strawberry festival from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children. Children age 6 and younger may eat free. Hamburgers, hot dogs and sauerkraut and pop will also be sold.
COLONEL ANDREW LYNN CHAPTER DAR will hold its Flag Day luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Caileigh’s, Uniontown. A musical program will be presented by Laura Fischer.
ST. PROCOPIUS CHURCH, New Salem, will hold a bingo Sunday in the social hall. Kitchen and doors open at noon. Admission is $4 and $1 for extra card. Early birds start at 1:45 p.m. followed by regular games at 2. For reservations or information, call 724-245-9213.
