Alice Shaffer Wilson
Alice Shaffer Wilson, age 87, of Brownsville, Pa., and formerly of Elco, Pa., died Sunday, October 1, 2006, in LaFayette Manor Inc., Uniontown, Pa. She was born May 26, 1919, in Allison, Pa., the daughter of James Shaffer and Mary Cole Shaffer.
Alice was a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell R. Wilson Sr., brothers, Alvin Shaffer and James Shaffer, and parents.
Surviving are three children: Russell and Laurie Wilson Jr. of Maryland, Bill and Jacqui Wilson of Smyrna, Delaware, and Debra and Kevin Dunker of West Brownsville, Pa.; six grandchildren: Sharon and Jaime Wilkerson of Maryland, Christopher Wilson of Smyrna, Delaware, Nicole and Steve Hord of Maryland, Hilary Dunker of West Brownsville, Pa., B. J. Wilson of Smyrna, Delaware, and Brian Dunker of West Brownsville, Pa.; four great-grandchildren: Jeremy, Emily, Kylie and Caileigh; and a brother, William and Betty Shaffer of Arkansas.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 3, from 2 to 9 p.m. at the ED MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES INC., 1008 Furlong Avenue, Roscoe, Pa.
Services will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. (location will be announced).
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
