Man charged
State police said Richard Reynolds, 40, of Point Marion was charged with simple assault after he head-butted Margaret Kovalcheck, also of Point Marion, during an argument at a residence on North Highland Avenue at 3 a.m. Saturday. Reynolds was placed in the Fayette County Prison on $5,000 straight-cash bond, police said.

Barry Turner of Perryopolis told state police that his identity was used without his permission to obtain a credit card in Virginia on Saturday, police said.

State police said Adam Buczko, 21, of Scottdale, was charged with harassment after he hit James Plummer, also of Scottdale, during an altercation on Parkway Street at 9 p.m. Sunday.

Michael Vidonish, 49, of Uniontown, told state police that vandals broke a window with a pellet gun at his home on Derrick Avenue between 12:30 and 9:15 a.m. Monday, police said.

State police said Richard Leonard, 23, no address given, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol after a routine traffic stop on Mount Pleasant Road at 1:54 a.m. Aug. 28.

Suspected DUI
State police said charges are pending against a 21-year-old Latrobe woman after she was found under the influence of alcohol following a two-car crash on Route 857 at 2:06 a.m. Sunday. The driver of the second vehicle, David Capella of Vanderbilt, was not injured in the crash but several passengers in Capella’s vehicle suffered minor injuries, police said.

State police said a 35-year-old Brownsville woman and a 16-year-old Brownsville girl engaged in a physical altercation on Cadwallader Street at 4:15 p.m. Monday.

Three grounding boards owned by Verizon Wireless were stolen from a tower in Grindstone between 2 p.m. Sept. 25 and 11 a.m. Sept. 27, state police said.

State police said a vehicle driven by Stephen Stoner of Scottdale struck a garage on Route 31 at 12:53 a.m. Sunday.

Erwin Osip of Scottdale told state police that vandals broke the driver’s side mirror on his vehicle while it was parked in a lot in Hempfield Township between 12:30 and 9:15 p.m. Friday, police said.

Uniontown police said James Anthony Harris, 24, of Bronx, N.Y., was arrested on an outstanding warrant after he and another man were discovered at a Uniontown store around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday. Police said charges also are pending against the second man, a 33-year-old Uniontown man, following Harris’s arrest.
