Jerry Storey, 54, of Uniontown, Pa., died Tuesday, October 3, 2006, in his home. He was born on October 31, 1951, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of the late Walter F. ‘Buzz” Storey and Polly Doorley Storey.

Jerry is survived by his mother; brothers Walter (Jeff) Storey and his wife Barbara of Goshen, New York, Phillip Storey of Boston, Massachusetts, Ted Storey and his wife Cheryl of Medina, Ohio; twin sister Jeanne Baugh of Uniontown, and sister Beth Evancheck and her husband Ronald of Carmel, Indiana; many aunts and uncles and nephews and nieces.

Jerry was a graduate of Saint John’s High School and Gannon College. Jerry was a long time employee of the Tribune Review. His love for the newspaper industry was inherited from his father, Buzz Storey, the former editor of the Uniontown Newspaper.

Jerry also had a love for history and filmmaking. He worked on many projects concerning the history of Fayette County. He was a dog lover, a good friend, a good boss, a good brother, and a very good son.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Thursday, October 5, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Viewing will continue on Friday, October 6, 2006 from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m., followed by a mass celebrating his life at Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Father Michael Crockston officiating.

Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
