Charles Bernard Bartholomai, 75, of Connellsville, Pa., died Wednesday, October 4, 2006, in Laurel Ridge Care Center, Uniontown. He was born April 2, 1931, in South Connellsville, a son of the late George and Catherine Hartz Bartholomai.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a mold maker for Anchor Hocking Glass. Charles was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, Fairview Club, South Connellsville Rod and Gun Club, Hutchinson Sportsman’s Club and South Connellsville Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by a son, Chares John Bartholomai and wife, Susan of Newtonville, N.J.; a daughter, Catherine Chapman and husband, Stanley of Connellsville; two grandchildren: Tara Bartholomai and Stanley Chapman, Jr.; three great-grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews; two brothers: John R. and George Bartholomai; and his loving companion, Edna Hunt of Connellsville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Corrine Bartholomai (1994), four sisters and two brothers.

Family and friends will be received in the PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC., 418 North Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, Saturday from 4 until 6:30 p.m., the hour of the Blessing Service with Rev. Father Dennis Bogusz officiating.

Interment Service will be private.
