Evelyn Coughenour Huhn

Evelyn Coughenour Huhn, 70, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away, Wednesday, October 4, 2006, at her residence. She was born, July 1, 1927, in Footedale, Pa., a daughter of the late, Thurman Coughenour, and Leoda Bryner Coughenour.

Evelyn was a retired bookkeeper from Metzler’s Department Store, and had also worked as a cook at Rossini’s Restaurant. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Dunbar Township Auxiliary 3948.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Huhn, and brothers, James Coughenour, and Gene Taylor.

Surviving are a daughter, Evelyn L. Stebok and her husband, Lawrence, of New Salem, Pa.; sons: James O. Huhn and his wife, Marcia of New Salem, Pa., and Thurman J. Huhn, and his wife, Lisa of Essex, Maryland; grandchildren: Holly Sumey, Celeste Tiberi, Jenifer Branch, Ryan and Sadie Huhn, Derek, Timothy, Tara, and Samantha Huhn; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Wanda Kolonsky of Uniontown, Pa.

Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME, 20 North Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, October 7, 2006, until 1 p.m., the hour of service, with Rev. Paul Frank, officiating.

Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown, Pa.
