Wilma Dunlap, no address given, suffered minor injuries when the vehicle she was driving struck a tree and then a utility pole on Route 1010 in Franklin Township at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, state police said.

Break-ins reported
California police are investigating a series of vehicle break-ins that occurred between Sept. 29 and Monday, police said. Two suspects have been taken into custody in relation to the incident, police said, but charges have yet to be filed.

Dana Mining Company told state police that about $2,900 worth of copper wire was stolen from the Titus mine on Bald Hill Church Road between May 26 and Sept. 29, police said.

State police said charges are pending against an 18-year-old Waynesburg man who made a false report of a robbery to state police after a confrontation with men he described as the robbers to police at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Marcy Lynn Cook, 42, of Mather was charged with simple assault, harassment and public drunkenness after an altercation with Don Cook, also of Mather, at a home on Third Street at 8:38 p.m. Sept. 24, state police said.
