Marianna man charged with bank robbery
A federal grand jury indicted a Marianna man on charges of bank robbery after he allegedly stole more than $5,000 from two Washington banks. Thomas Guy Murray, 34, of 301 Second St., Marianna, faces two counts of bank robbery and, if found guilty, a maximum total sentence of 40 years in prison, a fine of $500,000 or both. Murray allegedly robbed the Washington Federal Bank on Wylie Avenue on Sept. 19 of $1,895 and the PNC Bank on Jefferson Avenue on Sept. 27 of $3,180.
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Washington City Police Department conducted the investigation.
