CONNELLSVILLE – As of press time Tuesday, Connellsville Police Department officers were searching for a man who was allegedly reported to have a gun. According to emergency officials, the first report of an armed man in the city came in at 7:54 p.m. Tuesday. Officers pursued the man for almost two hours before calling their search off at 9:44 p.m., officials said.

Police resumed their search around 9:55 p.m., when a second report of a man with a gun in the area of Gibson Terrace was called in.

Police were still searching for the man late Tuesday and were not available for comment. No further information was available.
