Oliver Crawford

Oliver Crawford, 79, of West Brownsville, Pa., passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2006, in Monongahela Valley Hospital, Monongahela, Pa. He was born June 22, 1927, in Fairhope, Pa., the son of the late Jarrett and Gladys Spiker Crawford.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a daughter, Wilda Crawford.

Oliver worked as a brakeman for Pennsylvania Railroad, which was taken over by Conrail before his retirement. He also served his country in the United States Army during World War II in the European Theater.

He will be sadly missed by his son, Jarrett O. Crawford and wife, Christie of Cleveland, Tenn.; daughter, Mildred (Mitzie) Salva of Fredericktown, Pa.; sister, Wilda Davis of Braznell, Pa.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, Pa., Friday, October 13, 2006, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Burial will be private.
