Great Meadows Garden Club will hold a fashion show and luncheon on Oct. 25 at the Summit Inn. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased by calling Dorothy Yeager at 724-329-5270 or Linda Glover at 724-329-4049. Fashions for fall and the holiday season will be provided by Phyllis’s Fashions of Washington and White Oak. The club has been providing beautification in the mountain area in several areas including Point Look-out, Wharton School, Wharton Park and the senior center at Ohiopyle and Markleysburg. In addition, the Garden Club awards annually a scholarship to a student who plans to pursue a career in landscaping or education in a similar field. The club has, for the past four years, participated in the landscaping of the PGA Golf Tournament at Nemacolin Woodlands along with Neubauer’s Flowers Inc.
