Ruth Elizabeth Edmunds, 74, of Coal Center, died Thursday, October 5, 2006, at home following a lengthy illness. She was born August 16, 1932, in Crescent Heights, Pa., a daughter of the late Jacob William and Engery Laksonen Flanders.

Mrs. Edmunds was a homemaker and at one time a school bus driver.

Surviving is her ex-husband, William Paul Edmunds of Piedmont, Ohio; one daughter, Barbara Ann Zirtziaft of Port Washington, Wisc.; two sons: Gary Wayne Edmunds of Cleveland Heights, Ohio and David William Edmunds of Akron, Ohio; one grandson, Zachary Kevin Edmunds and two granddaughters: Katelynn Elise Edmunds and Lauren Nicole Edmunds.

Deceased in addition to her parents is a sister, Irene Filby.

Friends will be received Saturday, October 14, 2006, from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of a Memorial Service in the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville with the Rev. James Markley officiating.

Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
