Virginia M. Pepper Smith, 96, of Allison 2, Pa., died Wednesday, October 11, 2006. She was born on June 2, 1910, in Clover Hill, Pa., daughter of the late Elva and Ora Bell Tate Pepper.

Member of the Brownsville Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, former member of the VFW Post 4 Ladies Auxiliary and the Brownsville Moose.

She was predeceased by her husband, Fred B. Smith, two daughters, Audrey Smith, Iona (Leona) Iacconi; three brothers, Norman, Russell and Curtis; three sisters, Mildred Rice, Della Lidey, Florence Pepper.

She is survived by a son, Homer F. Smith and wife, Adrienne of New Salem, Pa.; five grandchildren: Tony Iacconi, Jr., Debra Zigray, Dana Iacconi, Christine Walker, Michael Smith; nine great-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m., the hour of service with the Rev. Father James L. Popochock officiating.

Interment will be held in the Redstone Cemetery.
