Dolores A. Bloom, 73, of Uniontown, Pa., died Thursday, October 12, 2006, in Mount Macrina Manor. She was born on February 20, 1933, in Uniontown the daughter of the late George Plichta and Mary Brown Plichta.

She is also preceded in death by a sister, Rose Morris and two brothers, George and Paul Plichta.

Dolores is survived by her husband, James R. Bloom, Sr.; sons: James R. Bloom, Jr. of Canton, Ohio, William E. Bloom and wife, Teri of Hopwood, Mark A. Bloom and wife, Kim of Farmington, Steven M. Bloom and wife, Rhonda of Uniontown, and Jeffrey Bloom and wife, Joyce of Big Brownfield; daughters: Sharon Wandell and husband, Bruce of Hopwood, Virginia A. Upole and husband, Mark of McClellandtown, and Dolores J. Bloom of Uniontown; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers: E. John Plichta and wife, Ann of Spokane, Wash., William Plichta and wife, Beverly of Carmichaels, and Raymond Plichta of Mountain View, Calif.; and sisters: Mary J. Decker and husband, Robert of Carmichaels, Betty Jane Wilde and husband, Edward and Bonnie Giaurtis and husband, James both of Warren, Ohio, and Florence Arauz and husband, Tony of Greensboro.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Sunday, October 15, 2006, from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. Viewing will continue on Monday, October 16, 2006, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. There will be a service celebrating her life at 11 a.m., at Saint Peter’s Anglican Church, 60 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, with Rev. Thomas Finnie officiating.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Uniontown Pa.
