Rose A. (nee Kapolka), age 84, of Chippewa Lake, Ohio, passed away in the comfort of her home on Friday, October 13, 2006. She was born September 30, 1922, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joseph and Anne Kapolka.

Rose was a homemaker and well-known and loved as “Grandma Rose”.

She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, Jesus Divine Redeemer, in Chippewa Lake, where she was very involved, and also a member of the Rebekah Guild, the Veterans of Foreign Wars SEABEE Group and the Grandma’s Club.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph Papula in 1969, great-granddaughter, August-Anna, four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia (and her husband Norman) Placek of Chippewa Lake, Ohio; grandchildren: Gary (and Tracy), Scott (and Stephanie), Jeffrey and Kimberly (and Jim) Placek; great grandchildren: Rachel, Jason, Justin, Jessica, Tyler, Makayla, Sarah, Anthony and Rebekah; and a sister, Helen Kapolka Verosky of Pennsylvania.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the WAITE & SON FUNERAL HOME – MEDINA CHAPEL, 765 North Court Street, Medina, OH 44256 (330-723-3229).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Wednesday, October 18, at 11 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, Jesus Divine Redeemer, 7230 Lake Road, Chippewa Lake, with the Rev. Father Ned Weist as Celebrant.

Private family burial services will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
