John Bacon Montoya of Herminie was charged with simple assault and terroristic threats after he threatened Brian Ross of Herminie and Veronica Fazenbaker of Uniontown with a baseball bat at an apartment on Sewickley Avenue at 9 p.m. Oct. 11, state police said.

Charges are pending against a Uniontown man after state police said they discovered he had marijuana, prescription medications and drug paraphernalia at a home on Fairgarden Street in Republic at 8:40 p.m. Monday.
