Althea B. Beggs Snyder
Althea B. Beggs Snyder, 91, formerly of Lemont Furnace, Pa., passed away Tuesday evening, October 17, 2006, in the John Kane Regional Center, Pittsburgh, Pa. She was born January 28, 1915, in Greensburg, Pa., the daughter of the late Robert Beggs and Helen Coleman Beggs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles R. Snyder in 1978, and her sister, Harriett.
Althea was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Uniontown, a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She dearly loved her family!
She is survived by her loving daughter, Janice S. Oglevee and husband, William of Uniontown; her grandchildren whom she adored: Sharon Hernandez and husband, Nario of Columbus, Ohio, W. Douglas Oglevee and wife, Misty of Smithfield, Pa., Susan Mullen and husband, George of Westminster, Maryland, Rebecca Oglevee and Angel Lagoe of Pittsbrugh, Pa.; her great-grandchildren whom she cherished: Ryan Mullen, Tyler Mullen, Daniel Mullen, Phillip Oglevee, Travis Oglevee and Brooke Oglevee; brothers: Richard Beggs and wife, Phyllis of Washington State, Harry Beggs and wife, Mary Ann of Columbia, North Carolina, William Beggs and wife, Phyllis of Largo, Florida and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Private visitation and funeral services for the family will be held followed by private interment in the LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
