Andrew Horvath
Andrew Horvath, 84, of York, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2006, in York Hospital, York, Pa. He was born December 15, 1921.
The son of the late George Horvath and Anna (Gansor) Horvath Furman, in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, his infant brother, George Horvath and brother, Raymond Furman and brother, John G. Horvath.
Andrew served his country with the United States Navy for four years, and was a Pennsylvania State Trooper for 30 years until his retirement.
He is survived by five brothers and two sisters: Frank Horvath and wife, Ann of Hopwood, Joe Horvath and wife, Harriet of Uniontown, Henry Furman of Euclid, Ohio, Robert Furman of Connellsville, Dolores Burns of Silver Spring, Md., Elmer Furman and wife, Mary Lou of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Mildred Bradley of Pittsburgh, Pa., Scott Township. A special friend, Arlene Gutierrez of York and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday until 1 p.m. when a Blessing Service will be held with Rev. Father Micah E. Kozoil, officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Saint Macrina Cemetery.
