Child hit

A child was hit by a vehicle on Edison Boulevard at 4:19 p.m. Wednesday, according to a spokeswoman for Fayette County 911. No specific information, including the child’s age and identity, was available Wednesday night. The 911 spokeswoman said the child was flown to an area hospital with injuries. Uniontown Fireman’s Ambulance responded to the scene, as did state police and North Union Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Warrant served

Uniontown police said a bench warrant for the arrest of Carl Kendall, 25, of Tower Hill 2, was served at a residence on Morgantown Street at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Kendall was remanded to the Fayette County Prison, police said.

Uniontown police said two unidentified juveniles were cited for harassment after an incident in Uniontown at 6:58 p.m. Tuesday.

Uniontown police said a gun owned by Phil Jones, no address given, was stolen from a building on South Street at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Warrant served

Luzerne Township Police Chief Roy Mehalik said William Mauser Sr., 43, of Allison was arrested at his home Tuesday on a warrant on charges related to burglary and theft. Magisterial District Judge Michael Defino issued the warrant. Mauser was placed in the Fayette County Prison on $25,000 bond, Mehalik said.

Masontown police said Tara Hall, 24, and Jeremy Dickey, 30, both of Waynesburg, and William Glover, 24, of Carmichaels, were each cited with disorderly conduct and defiant trespass after an incident at Fort Mason Village at 10:21 p.m. Sept. 29.

James Paris of Masontown told police that tools were stolen from a rental property he owns on Saturday or Sunday, Masontown police said.

Man charged

Randy Norris, 25, of Grindstone was charged with disorderly conduct after police discovered him shouting obscenities and wielding a machete on Route 4005 at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, state police said. Police said they also discovered a set of steel knuckles in his pocket. Norris was placed in the Fayette County Prison, police said.

State police said Alex Uveges of Waynesburg was charged with harassment after he struck Betty Uveges, also of Waynesburg, during an altercation at 121 Caldwell Road at 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Donald Crawford and Kyle Crawford, both of Holbrook, along with Joshua Bland and Eric Churney, both of Waynesburg, were each cited for disorderly conduct after an altercation outside a business on South Morgan Street in Waynesburg at 1:20 a.m. Saturday, state police said.

Samuel Smith of Waynesburg told state police that about $2,000 in coins was stolen from a home on Craynes Run Road between 2 p.m. Oct. 6 and 2 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Traci Hammond of Greensboro told state police that vandals smashed her mailbox at her home at 189 Mt. Joy Road between noon and 6 p.m. Monday, police said.

State police said a DVD player and a nail gun owned by Donald Bates of Clarksville were stolen from his home between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Jody Croyle of Waynesburg told state police that her purse was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at a house on Tollgate Run Road at 9:21 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Jesse William Patterson, 18, of Waynesburg was charged with harassment before Magisterial District Judge Glenn Bates after he threatened Veronica Gibson, also of Waynesburg, at a home on Pisgah Ridge Road around midnight Tuesday, state police said.

Items stolen

State police said someone stole several items out of a garage on property belonging to Mary L. Fornili of Hopwood between 9 a.m. Oct. 9 and 7 p.m. Oct. 11. Police said the garage, located at 342 Walnut Hill Road, had been forcibly entered.

Vehicles crash

Gloria Breakiron, 70, of Hopwood sustained minor injuries when vehicles driven by Breakiron and Arthur Campbell of Cardale crashed on McClellandtown Road at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, state police said.

State police said Mark Lohr, 27, of Farmington sustained moderate injuries when his vehicle overturned on Route 40, about one mile east of the Hopwood exit, at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Woman arrested

Andrea Saylor, 42, of Uniontown was arrested after being stopped for erratic driving on Route 40 at the intersection of Route 119 at 2:06 a.m. July 8, state police said, noting that additional charges against Saylor are forthcoming.

Bottle found

State police said a Clorox bottle containing a liquid that smelled like gasoline was found in the driveway of Fayette Friends of Animals in Smock at 7:35 a.m. Monday. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the state police barracks in Uniontown at 724-439-7111.
