Wayne D. Hoburn
Wayne D. Hoburn, 74, of Scottdale, Pa., formerly of Hunker, died Wednesday, October 18, 2006, in Harmon House, Mount Pleasant. He was born Saturday, January 2, 1932, in New Stanton, son of the late Vernon D. Hoburn and the late Mary E. Kepple.
He was a Air Force veteran of the Korean War, a member of the American Legion Post 0240, retired from Walworth Valve-Greensburg and Robertshaw Controls of New Stanton.
Surviving are his wife, Irene M. Cahl Hoburn; two children: Darrell V. Hoburn and wife, Denise of Mount Pleasant, Debbie Walsh and husband, Michael of Dublin, Ohio; five grandchildren: Nicholas and Nathan Hoburn, Patrick, Andrew and Samantha Walsh; a bother, Ronald C. Hoburn and wife, Patricia; three sisters-in-law: Ann Hoburn of Hunker, Lili Hoburn of Youngwood, Charlotte Darr of Pittsburgh.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Hoburn and sister, Helen Poole.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2006, in the C. RICHARD McCAULEY FUNERAL HOME, INC., Youngwood, Pa.
Services will be held at C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday, October 21, 2006, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dr. Chris Livermore officiating.
Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg, Pa. With military funeral rites accorded by the Armbrust Veterans Association.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Harmon House in Mount Pleasant and the Albert Gallatin Hospice.
