Mark “Parker” Lambie
Mark “Parker” Lambie, 73, of Ohiopyle, Pa., passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2006, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born December 25, 1932, in Ohiopyle son of the late Mark and Alice Burke Lambie.
In addition to his parents he is predeceased by three brothers and a sister, Sterling, Bernard and Charles Lambie and Bessie Jackson.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Shoemaker Lambie; two sons: Mark R. Lambie at home and Scott Lambie of Ohiopyle; two grandsons: Mark Raymond Lambie and Nicholas Alan Lambie; four sisters: Amiee Sproul of Ohiopyle, Caroline Brooks and husband, John of Dunbar, Henrietta Miller and husband, Robert of McKeesport, Alice Johnson of Dunbar and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
“Parker” was a United States Army veteran during the Korean War. He was a member of the AMVETS Post 103 Hopwood and the American Legion Post 51 Uniontown. He was a retired truck driver with Curry Lumber Co., had driven school bus in Connellsville School District and drove bus with the Ohiopyle Whitewater River Tours. He and a brother had operated a sawmill for several years.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME FARMINGTON, Pa., Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday until 1 p.m., the hour of the service with Rev. Peter Malik officiating.
Interment will be in Greenridge Memorial Park, Connellsville.
