Sampson-Kopec
Ashley Kopec of Pittsburgh and Jeremy (Mac) Sampson, also of Pittsburgh, were united in marriage on Aug. 26 at St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Footedale. The Rev. James L. Popochock officiated the nuptial Mass.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Debi Kopec of Front Street, Grindstone. The bridegroom is the son of Charles Sampson of Uniontown and Eleanor Sampson of Uniontown.
Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a luster satin gown with hug-the-shoulder neckline, scalloped Basque waistline, and Castilian train, all adorned with Schiffli lace and crystal beading. A rhinestone tiara held a long veil of illusion.
Matron of honor was Autumn Kubina. Bridesmaids were Kim Kopec, Andrea Marks, Lisa Rapchak, Cassie Wolpink, Linda Richter, Patricia Kelley, Kelly Hill, Jessica Koon. Junior bridesmaids were Brooke Murray and McKenzie Dickey.
Best man was Leonard Sampson, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Thomas Kopec, Todd Marks, Randy Rapchak, Dan Harcum, Martin Thomas, Mark Frese, David Moog and Adam Mikesell. Junior ushers were Larry Show and Andrew Kopec.
The reception was held at the American Legion Post 423, Masontown.
The bride graduated from Brownsville Area High School and West Virginia Career Institute. She is employed with Allegheny Petroleum in Pittsburgh.
The bridegroom graduated from Laurel Highlands High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He is employed with Ironwood Communications, Pittsburgh.
The couple is residing in Pittsburgh following their wedding trip to the Dominican Republic.
