Donald R. David
Donald R. David, age 50, of Masontown, Pa., died Saturday, October 21, 2006, in the Uniontown Hospital as a result of an auto accident. Mr. David was born in Uniontown, Pa., on November 3, 1955, the son of Emil Ewart David and Emma Perkins David.
He graduated from Albert Gallatin High School, Class of 1973, and was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in McClellandtown, Pa.
Donald worked as a barge crewman for Consolidated Coal Company.
He will be remembered as a loving father and brother and for his sense of humor-he always had a way to make you laugh. He loved to spend time with his son, Jonathon, working on his truck. Donald will be sadly missed by all who knew him!
Donald was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Larry and Willard McCann.
He is survived by his daughter, Brandy N., wife of Eric Shipley, of Smithfield, Pa., and son, Jonathon R. David of Ralph, Pa.; his former wife, Rebecca Minnick David of Ralph, Pa.; his twin sister, Donna Susie David of Grays Landing, Pa.; sister, Alice Yanick of Masontown, Pa.; brother, Butch David of McClellandtown, Pa.; brother, Benjamin B. David of McClellandtown, Pa.; sister, Mary Jordan of Edenborn, Pa.; brother-in-law, Jack Crosby of Masontown, Pa.; brother, Terry David of Grays Landing, Pa.; brother, William David of Masontown, Pa.; stepbrother, Emil David of Uniontown, Pa.; stepsister, Sally Shaneyfelter of Turner, Montana; stepbrother, Melvin David of Woodside, Pa.; stepbrother, Robert David of Arkansas; stepbrother, Bill David of Florida; grandchildren: Taylor, Damon, Tara and Tia Shipley all of Smithfield; a special niece, Felicia Dannister of Masontown, Pa.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church at 7 River Avenue, Masontown, Pa., today and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, October 25, until 10 a.m. when Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Timothy Tanner officiating.
Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
