Paulette “Polly” F. Novak Kurcina
August 26, 1943 to October 21, 2006
Paulette “Polly” F. Novak Kurcina of Hummelstown, Pa., originally of Dunbar and Uniontown, Pa., quietly passed away in her home on Saturday, October 21, 2006.
She was the daughter of Rose Gambone Novak and the late Joseph Novak of Dunbar, Pa.
She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, mother, four siblings, mother-in-law, a large extended family, and close friends.
Her husband is Robert “Bob” Kurcina, her children are Lisa Kurcina, Christine Ireland and her husband Richard Ireland, Kevin Kurcina and his partner Roxane Morgan. Her grandchildren are Timothy DeFrank and Sofia Kurcina Feeney. Her mother is Rose Gambone Novak and her siblings are Albert Novak, Mary Ann Novak, Jane Laurion and Rita Martin. Her mother-in-law is Olive S. Kurcina.
“Polly” was the owner and operator of Kurcina’s Concessions and the Owl’s Nest Caf? at Zeigler’s Auction House. She worked as office manager with her son at Lone Tree Inc.
Services will be held in her hometown of Dunbar, Pa.
An afternoon and evening viewing will be held in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa., from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24. Friends will also be received from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, in the Funeral Home with prayers being recited at 12:30 p.m..
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p.m. in Saint Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Ranch Road, Dunbar, with Msgr. J. Edward McCullough as Celebrant.
Interment will be held at the family’s convenience.
