Donald Edward Beissel
Donald Edward Beissel, 77, of Elizabeth Township died, Saturday, October 21, 2006, in UPMC-Saint Margaret Memorial Hospital. He was born July 4, 1929, in Duquesne, Pa., the son of the late Oscar P. and Mary Bolen Beissel.
He was a retired track supervisor for the P & L E Railroad.
Don is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan Kemp Beissel; daughters, Vickee (Gary) Altman of Uniontown, Pa. and Wendee (Randy) Lindsey of Elizabeth Township, Pa.; brother, Richard P. (Dixie) Beissel of Bruceton Mills, West Virginia; sister, Jean Jones; grandson, Alan D. (Angela) Lindsey; granddaughters, Stephanie and Abigail Altman; great-grandchildren, Alan Ian and Alayna Lindsey; best friends; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer A. Beissel and a sister, Kathryn Brown.
Friends are welcome in the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY, INC., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 until 10 a.m., the hour of service in the chapel with the Rev. William D. Heaton, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.
