Edna Ruth Nassar Kotowski
Edna Ruth Nassar Kotowski, 87, of Greensboro, Pa., died at 4:01 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2006, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. She was born April 2, 1919, in Davistown, Greene County, Pa., a daughter of the late Milton and Mary M. Brewer Donley.
She and her first husband, Joseph Abraham Nassar owned and operated Nassar Cutrite Market in Dilliner, Pa. and the Bobtown Market for a number of years. Mrs. Kotowski resided in Naples, Florida for about 20 years where she worked at Maas Brothers and also at Lum’s Restaurant. While in Naples, she was a member of the North Naples Baptist Church. Mrs. Kotowski returned to Greensboro in the early 1990’s. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her first husband, Joseph Abraham Nassar died December 12, 1973. Her second husband, Raymond Kotowski died October 5, 1987.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary H. Shine and her husband, Victor of Greensboro; two sons, Milton L. Donley and his wife, Ruthie of Oxford, Michigan and Abraham J. Nassar and his wife, Marlene of Swampscott, Massachusetts; nine grandchildren, Vicki, Joseph, Jeff, Richard, Charles, Pam, Barry, Timothy and Kim; 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, William E. Donley and Ora Donley and a sister, Lena D. Zimmerman.
Family and friends are welcomed from 2 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2006, in the YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa. The funeral services will follow the visitation on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Dr. Robert Randolph officiating.
