City police said Christopher Greer of Uniontown was cited after an officer spotted him operating a vehicle on a suspended license in the area of Pershing Court at 4:30 p.m. Police said the owner of the vehicle will also be cited.

Eric Joseph Martoncik, 27, of Oliver, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after an incident in Uniontown at 10:41 p.m. Sunday, Uniontown police said.

Cars collide
State police said vehicles driven by Jennifer McCabe of Tarrs and Jacob Grimm of Scottdale collided on Center Avenue Friday. Both drivers suffered moderate injuries, police said.

Man charged
Brian Edward Sloneker, 42, of Carmichaels, was charged with failure to comply with Megan’s Law after he was found living Friday at an unregistered address in Carmichaels, state police said.

Charges filed
Police have filed charges against the following individuals in unrelated incidents:
– Joshua Schiffbauer, 23, of Uniontown with public drunkenness after he was allegedly found intoxicated and causing a disturbance Oct. 12 at Highlands Hospital.
– Justin Ludwig, 25, of Greensburg with burglary and two counts each of theft and receiving stolen property after he allegedly stole money from Highlands Hospital and a residence located in the 600 block of East Murphy Avenue on Oct. 12.
– Scott Allen Jeffries, 34, of Connellsville with theft and receiving stolen property after he allegedly stole two weed eaters and a child’s plastic playhouse on Oct. 16 from a residence located in the 200 block of East Apple Street.
– Ronald K. Hall, 48, of Connellsville with public drunkenness after he was allegedly found intoxicated and causing a disturbance Oct. 14 in Gibson Terrace.
– Donald S. Lint, 19, of Dawson and a 17- and 13-year-old males and 14-, 13-, and 12-year-old females, all from Connellsville with underage drinking after they were allegedly found consuming alcohol Oct. 13 in a vacant house located in the 300 block of East Gibson Avenue. Lint was additionally charged with corruption of minors and furnishing alcohol to minors while the juveniles were charged with trespassing in connection to the incident.

Investigations continue
Police are conducting investigations into the following unrelated incidents:
– An Oct. 12 theft of two 20-inch boys model Mongoose bicycles from a residence located in the 300 block of East Washington Avenue. Police said one bicycle is blue and silver in color and the second is blue and green in color.
– An Oct. 11 theft of a black Pioneer car compact disc player from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of East South Street.
– An Oct. 12 theft of prescriptions from a residence located in the 100 block of North 2nd Street.
– An Oct. 12 criminal mischief when an electric meter located in the 200 block of North Prospect Street was damaged.
– An Oct. 16 theft of a red Troybilt mower, blue Power Wheels Raptor quad and a red Power Wheels motorcycle from a residence located in the 100 block of Grape Alley.
– An Oct. 16 criminal mischief when the tires of a vehicle parked in the 200 block of North Prospect Street were slashed.

Connellsville
Apartment fire
City police along with the Connellsville Fire Department and New Haven Hose Volunteer Fire Co. responded to a 9:09 a.m. fire at 606 S. Pittsburgh St.
Police Chief Stephen Cooper said that a child accidentally set fire to a bed in one of the apartments.
The child’s father, said Cooper, promptly removed the mattress from the apartment and then returned to also remove the box spring that had caught fire and extinguish flames that had erupted on the carpeting.
Cooper said that no one was injured and the apartment only sustained smoke damage.
Fayette EMS also responded to the scene.
