Loran K. “Pete” Uphold
Loran K. “Pete” Uphold, 61, of Farmington, Pa., passed away suddenly October 22, 2006, at his home. He was born February 3, 1945, in Farmington, Pa., son of the late Alvy and Nina Parnell Uphold.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by four brothers and a sister, Raymond Uphold, Ivan Uphold, Cloyd Uphold, Rodney Uphold, and Cella Tressler.
Surviving are three children, Robert Uphold and wife Lori of Hopwood, Pa., Ronald Uphold and wife Jeannie of Chalk Hill, Pa. and Roxanne Uphold and Jason Guth of Connellsville, Pa.; three sisters and a brother, Gatha Raymond of Virginia, Lona Crawford of Florida, Merle Uphold of Virginia and Erla Thomas of Hopwood, Pa.
“Pete” was a veteran who served in the United States Army during Vietnam.
He worked as a timber cutter and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD HOME FARMINGTON, today from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Thursday until 11 a.m. the hour of the service.
Interment will follow in Sunset View Cemetery, Chalk Hill.
