Robert James Rodeheaver

Robert James Rodeheaver, 76, of Concord, New Hampshire, died Monday, October 16, 2006, at his home after a lengthy illness. Born in West Leisenring, Pa., the son of Tennis and Edith (Morris) Rodeheaver, he lived in New Hampshire for five years coming from Colorado.

He graduated from high school in Uniontown, Pa.

He was a twenty-year Army veteran who served in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was the recipient of the Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Army Commendation Medal.

He worked in accounting and the hotel-motel industry.

He loved camping and fishing. He enjoyed gardening and yard work. He especially enjoyed walking along the Merrimack River with his wife.

He leaves his wife of forty-seven years Brunhilde (Mottl) Rodeheaver of Concord; his son, Wolfgang Rodeheaver of Sarasota, Florida; his daughter, Sylvia Bradford of Boscawen; four grandchildren, Jen and Shelby Bradford and Isaac and Noah Rodeheaver; one sister, Barbara May of Connellsville, Pa.; nieces and nephews and cousins.

There will be no calling hours.

Funeral Services with military honors will be held in the chapel at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen on Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Henry Frost from Loudon officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice program, PO Box 1791, Concord, NH 03303.
