Police plan DUI strategy

The state Department of Transportation, in partnership with the Pa. DUI Association, area Comprehensive Highway Safety Programs and local law enforcement are announcing there will be increased drunken driving law enforcement for Halloween. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) first identified Halloween as high risk for alcohol-related crashes after compiling data from 1999-2003 which showed higher fatality figures than New Year’s.
