Zix-Swaney
Erin Elizabeth Swaney and Matthew Edward Zix were united in marriage on July 29. The Rev. Robert Marva, cousin of the bride, officiated the nuptial Mass at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown.
The bride is the daughter of Terry Swaney and Susan Mullen, and her stepparents are Thomas Mullen and Jackie Swaney, all of Uniontown.
The bridegroom is the son of Edward and Gloria Zix of Cincinnati, Ohio.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a stain, strapless A-line corset back gown with an asymmetrical wrap waist with a draped satin panel accented with floral beadwork. The train was also ornamented with a matching design. She wore a crystal and pearl tiara along with a fingertip veil with a beaded edge.
Maids of honor were Megan Swaney, sister of the bride, and Jennifer Santer. Bridesmaids were Danielle Mullen, Nicole Mullen and Heather Mullen, sisters of the bride, and Allison Whalen friend of the bride. Flower girl was Julie Howarth, cousin of the bride.
Best men were Casey Budd and Ben Clark. Groomsmen were Jack Gardner and Kevin Zix, cousins of the groom, and Sean Luley and Matt Partin. Ring bearer was Jacob Dvorchak, nephew of the bride.
A reception was held at the Uniontown Jewish Community Center.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Geibel Catholic High School. In 2002, she earned a bachelor of science degree in accountancy from Wheeling Jesuit University. In 2003, she earned her master of business administration degree from Ohio University. She is a certified public accountant employed by Norman, Jones, Enlow & Co. in Columbus, Ohio.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Archbishop Moeller of Cincinnati. He earned his bachelor of business administration degree in management information systems in 2002 and his masters of business administration in 2003, both from Ohio University. He is a sales analyst employed by Pacer Global Logistics in Columbus, Ohio.
The couple honeymooned in St. Thomas.
They are residing in Columbus, Ohio.
