Lavena E. Frost Lukey, age 87, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Saturday, October 28, 2006, in the Laurel Ridge Center, Uniontown. She was born March 16, 1919, in Smock, Pa., the daughter of Charles Frost and Hazel Black Frost.

Lavena was a member of the Pleasant View Presbyterian Church and a retired employee from the Bon-Ton in Uniontown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph Lukey, a son, Joseph L. Lukey, a daughter, Lavena Bonnie Striker, and a brother, Lewellyn Lukey Frost.

She is survived by a grandson and two granddaughters: Derek Lukey and his wife, Beate, of Germany, Michele Dulemba and her husband, Ronald, of North Huntington, Pa., and Johanna Montalto and her husband, Thomas, of Masontown, Pa.; six grandchildren; and two sisters: Beulah Dunn and her husband, Dominick, and Virginia Frost both of Uniontown.

Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., on Tuesday, October 31, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, November 1, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with her Pastor, the Rev. Keith Conover, officiating.

Interment will follow in Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery, Flatwoods, Pa.
