Martha May Morris Eicher, age 78, of Smithfield, Pa., died Wednesday, October 25, 2006, in her residence. She was born March 23, 1928, in Smithfield, Pa., daughter of Charles Edward Morris Sr. and Annie May Kremer Morris.

Martha was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Uniontown, Pa.

Her parents, a brother, Irwin Morris, and a sister, Dorothy Marie Christy, predeceased her.

Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Eugene Shaffer Eicher; three children: James Eugene “Jim” Eicher and his wife, Suzanne, of New Salem, Pa., Richard W. Eicher and his wife, Donna Rae, of Uniontown, Pa., and Linda Ann Feipel of Dallas, Oregon; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters and brother: Vivian June Vinson of West Kalispell, Montana, Kathleen Wagner of Gibsonia, Pa., Charles Edward Morris Jr., of Irwin, Pa., and Virginia Jean Merabal of Buffalo, New York.

The family received friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Visitation will continue in CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 308 McClellandtown Road, Uniontown, Pa., today (Monday, October 30) from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Services will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rory Ruder and Pastor Ron Hudson officiating.

Interment will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
