Robert Joseph Connors, age 83, of Connellsville, Pa., retired steelworker from United States Steel Corporation’s Irwin Plant who was born in Scottdale, Pa., died Friday, October 27, 2006, in UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, Pa. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Irma J. Tulley Connors; children: Robert J. Connors Jr. of Dunbar, Pa., Dennis Connors of Bear Rocks, Pa., and Mary Elizabeth Connors Nicholson and her husband, Robert A. Nicholson, of Normalville, Pa.; grandchildren: Terra Ann Bennett and her husband, Chester, of Bethel Park, Pa., Jason A. Nicholson and his wife, Melissa, of Everson, Pa., and Patrick T. Nicholson and his wife, Lacey, of Normalville; and two great-grandsons. Robert was the last remaining member of his immediate family.

Friends will be received in the Paul G. Fink Funeral Home Inc., 418 North Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, Pa., Dennis N. Heath, Supervisor, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, November 1, until 9:30 a.m.
