ATV accident
Uniontown police said Teresa Andrus of Uniontown reported that a person operating an all-terrain vehicle in the grass near Pershing Court crashed into bushes around 7 p.m. Sunday. Police said the ATV was found in the bushes and placed in holding pending further investigation.

Shots reported
Uniontown police said officers responded to two reports of shots being fired in the area of Pershing Court early Monday.
Police said the first report, in which a caller stated people in an older-model brown car with chrome tires were firing shots, came in at 1:35 a.m. Police said officers searched the area for the vehicle but were unable to locate it.
The second report of shots being fired came in at 2:23 a.m., police said.
Police said at least one apartment was damaged by the gunfire, noting that officers observed a bullet hole in the wall of 29 Pershing Court. Police said the front window of the apartment also was shattered.
Officers patrolled the area looking for the suspects in the brown car after receiving a tip about their whereabouts, but were unable to locate them, police said.
Police said the incident is under investigation by city detectives.

No one injured
State police at Greensburg said neither of the passengers in a Jeep was injured when driver Kenneth J. Dolan of Greensburg lost control of the vehicle along County Line Road at Roaring Run at 2 p.m. Sunday. The passengers in the vehicle were listed as Zachery Caruso and Jason L. Puzak, both of Mount Pleasant. Police said the car rolled over into a yard.

Accident reported
State police reported no injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Route 50 around 10:12 a.m. Saturday. Police identified the drivers of the vehicles involved as Candy Harrod of Waynesburg and Lawrence Fowler of Avella.

Deer struck
Michael Jochynek of Waynesburg escaped injury when his vehicle struck a deer on Interstate 79 at the Marianna exit around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, said state police at Washington.

Man treated
State police at Washington said James M. Popielarcheck, 28, of Millsboro was treated for unspecified injuries after his vehicle rolled over on Ridgewood Drive around 6 p.m. Saturday.

Buses damaged
State police said four buses parked in the T.A. Nelson Bus Lines parking lot were damaged when someone threw several large rocks through the windshields between 5:15 p.m. Friday and 7:50 p.m. Sunday. Police estimated the total damage at around $1,600.

Mailboxes damaged
State police said someone damaged mailboxes belonging to Ruth Smiley, 38; Kacey Shaw, 40; and Candice Spencer, 41. Police said the damage was reported at 7:46 a.m. Sunday and that all of the victims reside in the village of Monarch in Dunbar Township.

State police said a red 2006 Bombardier all-terrain vehicle was found in a wooded area two miles south of Footdale-Lambert Road at 4:55 p.m. Friday.

Man charged
Thomas E. Livengood, 59, of Fairchance was charged with public drunkenness at 9:51 p.m. Friday, state police said.

Woman accused
Sylvia Grooms, 24, of Uniontown was charged with several counts of theft by deception after a district manager at Dairy Mart accused the woman of allegedly stealing approximately $200 from Dairy Mart, located on Dixon Boulevard, throughout the month of October, state police said.

Woman cited
State police reported that Cindy Rankin of Lemont Furnace was cited for criminal mischief after she allegedly punched out a window of her sister’s vehicle as her sister, Jamie Taylor of Lemont Furnace, was attempting to leave Rankin’s 404 First St. residence at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Man arrested
State police said James Wilson Hess of Fayette County was charged with driving under the influence after being involved in a one-vehicle accident on Bethelboro Road at 2:15 a.m. Saturday.

Sign damaged
State police said someone driving a red passenger car crashed into a large sign in front of 2740 Memorial Blvd. at 7:40 p.m. Sunday.
Police reported that the driver fled the scene following the accident.

Vehicle damaged
Patrick Patronas, 36, of Uniontown told state police someone scratched his vehicle while it was parked at a business in Uniontown between 11:30 p.m. Thursday and 12:30 a.m. Friday, according to a police report.

Cash, checks stolen
State police said someone stole a green deposit bag containing cash and personal checks off Family Dollar employee Robin McClay while McClay was walking on Penn Avenue to deposit the money at 11 a.m. Monday. Police said the robber fled the scene in a vehicle and was last seen traveling north on Route 119.

Window shot
Danny Trifiro, 55, of Lemont Furnace told state police someone shot a window out of Trifiro’s 367 Main St. residence at 2:40 p.m. Saturday, police reported.

Gun stolen
State police said someone stole a semi-automatic pistol belonging to John Bartholomai, 47, of Dunbar between Oct. 20 and Saturday. Police said the gun was removed from Bartholomai’s 100 Cambria St. residence.

Damage done
Andrew Powaski of Farmington told state police someone damaged his 355 Elliottsville Road property by driving on the landscape with a vehicle between 11 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. Sunday, police reported.
